How to make a summer shower?
A summer shower at the dacha is simply necessary. What could be nicer after a working day to take a cool, refreshing shower. In this article I want to tell you how I did a shower with my own hands from materials that were on my site. I am sure that most of the owners of the villa territory have these materials. I bought only a minimum of what was needed.
Making a summer shower out of bricks
First, it is important to determine the place where the summer shower will be built. This is an important stage, since it will depend on the correct position of the shower how quickly the water in the tank will heat up. The shower should be located in such a place that the sun rays would fall on the tank throughout the day. For me personally, it is important that the water is warm, because, having bathed in cold water, I’ll get sick. After I chose a suitable place for the construction of the shower, I began to dig a trench to fill the foundation.
Since the load on the foundation will nottoo big, I did not dig a deep trench. For this building, the depth of the foundation is 20–25 cm (1 bayonet of a shovel). Then I poured the foundation. Its dimensions were 1.5x1.2 meters. Fill the foundation with a level.
In order for the solution to freeze and you could erect the walls of the shower, you must wait. I set about building the walls the next day. I had a lot of old red brick, so I used this particular material for the walls. The proportions of mortar for brickwork are standard - 1 share of cement and three shares of sand, the same proportions I used to fill the foundation. When laying red brick walls it is also important to use the building level. I deduced the first ten rows of bricks into "half-brick", then made brick laying with the spoon part. This is also in order to save money, since I did not have enough bricks, and also so that there was not a large load on the foundation.
The height of the walls must be selected to suit your height. The shower tap should be about 20–30 cm above your head. The height of my shower walls was 2.2 meters. I calculated the height of the walls not from the foundation itself, since later I planned to make the floor from tile, but a little higher. During walling, you can make a window so that there is lighting in the shower. Once I changed old windows to new plastic ones in the annexe, and I still had old ones that I didn’t throw away, but brought to my summer cottage. So one small window just came in handy. I just covered it with bricks. Above the window you need to lay a corner or any metal plate on which you can lay a brick.
Next I I started making the roof. To do this, I took two beams that corresponded in length to the internal dimensions of the shower and attached 4 boards to the screws on the screws, which also lay on the walls of the shower. In addition, the bars can be screwed on for quick installation, and for this you need a perforator. This is important to do, so to Otherwise, a strong shower can simply blow the roof of a soul./medium/1530855309_15.jpg "style =" max-width: 100%; "alt =" How to make a summer shower "> Next, a tank is placed on these boards. I had to buy a tank. There are three people in my family, so I chose a 60 liter tank. This is quite enough. If you use a tank for a large number of liters, the water in it will heat up longer. I secured the tank with the help of the lighthouses with which I attached it, and fastened it to the somoresis to the lower boards. Typically, 20 liters of water is more than enough for one person to swim.
So that the water goes to the side, I made a small ramp on the roof, stuffing bars at one edge of the roof. Also in the middle I secured even smaller bars, after which I fixed the board on top.In this way, I got small slopes from both sides. To them, I secured a whole sheet of slate. But before that, you need to measure the size of the tank, apply it to the slate sheet, and cut out the piece so that it can easily lie on the roof. I fastened the slate with large nails to the ramp, which I installed before it. "style =" max- width: 100%; " alt="How to make a summer shower">
Next, I proceeded to manufacture the floor. I had an old tile, and I decided to use it for these purposes. Before laying the tile, I immediately installed a water drain. This drain went into a small hole in the pipe next to the shower. After that, I poured the screed, and put the tile on top. Tiles should be placed on such a level that the water flows from the walls to the sink. It is not necessary to dig a large pit to drain water, as is often advised, especially if you use it in the summer. A small pit is enough, and it does not even have to cover. In summer, in the very heat, the water that flows from the shower into the pit dries instantly.
Now it remains to make the door. At first, I made a loot from a bar. After that, he made the door, according to the size of this loot. To make it convenient, I did not install the loot immediately, but at first I made it on a flat surface, and in the same place on the ground I made the door according to the inner size of the loot. The door consists of two long bars, which are fastened with four transverse. To make the door easy, I filled a translucent plastic on the transverse bars, which also lets in light. After that, I fastened the door with loot to the hinges, and set the entire door frame in the doorway of the shower. Inside, I also made a lock.
Thus I built a summer shower in my summer cottage. In the future, if I get my hands on it, I will plaster it outside and inside. This shower is quite simple and not very expensive, considering that I already had most of the materials. it took me only two days.
