How to pass the analysis for worms?

Worms in the human body can cause serious illness up to the development of tumors. Therefore, it is important to get rid of them as soon as possible. To identify the presence of worms, you must pass a series of tests. They will determine if there are parasites in the body.

Let us dwell on what tests you need to pass on the worms, as well as how and where they are done.

What tests to take?

First of all, doctors advise doing an analysis of feces on parasite eggs. With it, you can determine the presence of round and tapeworms, as well as flukes.

It is necessary to take a stool analysis at least 2 times at intervals of 2-4 days. The fact is that parasites do not lay eggs every day. Therefore, it is likely that during the first analysis, the presence of worms will not be diagnosed.

Additionally, you need to do an analysis on enterobiosis. With it, you can diagnose the presence of pinworms. Enterobiasis should also be done several times with an interval of 3-5 days.

To diagnose the presence of parasites in the body by using an ELISA blood test. It needs to be taken only once, it provides high accuracy of the diagnosis - above 95%.

How and where to get tested?

To pass an analysis of feces on the eggs of parasites, you will need to be emptied into a clean container. From the received material it is necessary to take several samples. It is necessary to do this from different parts of the fecal masses (from the inside, from the bottom, from the sides) - a volume of 2-3 hours spoons. The material for analysis is placed in a special disposable container with a tight-fitting lid. It must be delivered to one of the public or private laboratories (in which you can also get containers for analysis) within half an hour after a bowel movement.

To pass the analysis on enterobiosis, it is necessary to make a scraping from the folds of the skin, which are located near the anus. To carry out such a procedure is necessary with the help of a cotton swab. It must first be moistened in glycerin. After that, it is placed in a test tube and closed with a lid. It is necessary to deliver scraping to the laboratory during the day. It should be stored at a temperature of + 4˚С.

As for the analysis of ELISA, it will need to be donated directly to the laboratory in the morning (blood is taken from a vein). Before this, it is not recommended to eat.
