Why does the smell unpleasant?

We always strive to look better, smell better, be healthier. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to comply with the norms. One of the modern requirements for a person is a pleasant smell emanating from him, or at least the complete absence of unpleasant odors. Let's take a closer look at why the human body can have an unpleasant smell.

Smell from the mouth

There are several reasons why it may smell unpleasant from the mouth (causes of halitosis):

  • diseases of the oral cavity (insufficient moisture of the mucous membrane, diseases of the teeth and gums, poor oral hygiene);
  • angina;
  • tobacco smoking;
  • eating garlic, onions, or cabbage;
  • stomach disorders;
  • endocrine system diseases;
  • lung disease;
  • sinusitis, runny nose;
  • diet.

When you feel the smell from your mouth, first of all analyze how long you have been brushing your teeth. When was the last time you smoked and do you smoke at all? If this is the problem, bring the oral cavity in order. If you regularly care for your mouth and are not a smoker, go to the dentist.If the dentist finds no cause for concern, go to your general practitioner.

Nose smell

The smell from the mouth, alas, is familiar to us, because people in public transport or our friends do not always monitor their health. But this does not surprise the average person. However, the smell from the nose is puzzling. How can this happen? If your nose smells unpleasant, you should run to the ENT center, as this smell emits the process of decay. Infection, if it is not running, is quickly treated with medication using washes and antibiotics. In case you do not care about your health in this situation, the infection can spread further down to the brain.

Smell sweat

Absolutely all people sweat. Each of us has its own smell, so the sweat smells differently. The sharpness of the smell of sweat can be influenced by diet, unhealthy lifestyle, stress and physical exertion. But sometimes it happens that the smell of sweat, familiar over the years, changes, it becomes worse. This can occur for several reasons:

  • tuberculosis;
  • heart problems;
  • problems with the gastrointestinal tract;
  • kidney problems;
  • diabetes;
  • mammary cancer.

If you notice that your body odor has changed, first go to your general practitioner, who will help you understand the problem and refer you to the right specialist.

Foot smell

As you know, in children the legs smell much stronger than in adults, which is explained by increased metabolism. But this does not mean that the legs of an adult person do not emit any odors. There are a huge number of microorganisms on their feet, which, when sweating, begin to smell. If you notice increased odor of feet, itching, redness, problems with nails (yellowing, dryness), etc., then most likely you have a fungus. You should consult your doctor to find the right medication for treatment (most often a small course of treatment with an ointment). But what to do to eliminate the smell of feet from a healthy person, especially in the summer?

  • Wash your feet regularly and exfoliate dead skin cells.
  • Do not wear hot and stuffy and small-sized shoes, always choose shoes for the weather and preferably from natural materials.
  • Let your legs rest - soar them, keep them in an elevated position and massage them.
